AI code assistance oddities

this was snuck in to a code edit (aider) nothing to do with the rest of the edit
the instructions.
/code remove day string from type truckschedule and make adjustments to all effected code

it did all the edits in 3 files perfect… the only thing i can think of is “adjustments” gave it free rain on the code base.

so the wording is more better… but it is commented out code and not part of the edit…

wondering if maybe something needs to be added to base instructions to not make changes outside of the requested instructions?

This just reinforces that you really must review and understand all the changes and code generated.

@mitch - question about aider, does it prompt you for every change? In claude code, I have the settings where it previews/prompt every change (one at a time).

I could not find an option for each change. After i did a search it would seem there is a option to not auto-commit. but it’s all the changes. there is a /undo option/command.

It was just odd that it picked some random comment to update/change.
